No code counts it, even when a draft is scored, and no average word count is stored against your name.   1. Count how many sentences sit in each paragraph across the sample.
  2. Note where the counts cluster: mostly one or two sentences, mostly five or more, or all over the place.
  3. Check whether short paragraphs appear for a reason (a punchline, a pivot) or just because you never developed the point.
  4. Look at your longest paragraph. Does it earn its length with evidence, or does it wander?
